Therapy

Psychotherapy or "talk therapy" is a way to help people with a broad variety of mental health disorders, emotional difficulties, relationship concerns, and life changes.

It can help to eliminate or control symptoms, learn new skills, and elicit positive change in order to increase functioning, well-being, and healing.

There are different types of psychotherapy, with some types working better for certain problems or issues and it can be used in combination with medications or other types of treatment.

Therapy can be conducted with  individuals, couples, families, and groups.

Sessions are typically held weekly or bi-weekly for 50 minutes.

Therapy can be short-term (several sessions), dealing  with immediate issues, or long-term (months or years), dealing  with long standing or complex issues.
